When you appoint a new Practitioner user there are 5 permissions that you can tailor.


There are 
2 settings which are hard coded. Therefore, a Practitioner will not be able to add and remove users or change user permissions. However, a Practitioner will be able to edit details of the company, officers and shareholders.


Lastly, you will be able to select
 the filings that a Practitioner can make at Company House where those filings incur a Companies House charge.

What filings attract a Companies House fee?




1. Access accounts area

The dropdown for this setting for a Practitioner gives you just 2 options: No and View invoices.



  • A Practitioner with View invoices rights can access the Accounts area, however they will only be able to see the invoices paid to Inform Direct or to Companies House. 


Note: The Practitioner will be able to see both the amount and which company the invoice relates to. This is useful if they will be responsible for recharging costs to the underlying company.


2. Import companies

The dropdown for this setting for a Practitioner gives you just 2 options: Yes and No.

  • The default choice is Yes. This would mean the Practitioner can import additional companies to the account.
  • If the setting is changed to No then the Practitioner will not be able to import additional companies.


3. Remove companies

The dropdown for this setting for a Practitioner gives you just 2 options: Yes and No.

  • The default choice is Yes. This would mean the Practitioner can remove companies from the account.
  • If the setting is changed to No then the Practitioner will not be able to remove companies from the account.


4. Decide if this user is a Principal contact.

You can, if you wish, make a Practitioner the Principal contact. Simply, click the box and then press 'Continue'.

5. Select filings for Practitioner

You will then be asked which transactions, that incur a Companies House fee, you would like the Practitioner to be able to carry out. Select a box to grant access to the new Practitioner user. And then press 'Continue.'
