It is easy to add new users to your Inform Direct account.
You can give them access to all, just one or a range of the companies in your portfolio. What is more you can set their permissions to restrict what they can or cannot do and how much information they can see.
Note: Only users on a subscription service can add new users to their account.
1. To get started, go to "Account" and select "Manage users".
What different types of user are supported by Inform Direct?
2. Here is a list of all your existing users.
Note: If you have not yet added any additional users you will just see your name.
3. To add a new user click on the blue 'Add new user' button.
For each new user you will need to determine:
A. What user type they should be:
- Administrator How do I add someone as an Administrator?
- Manager How do I add someone as a Manager?
- Practitioner How do I add someone as a Practitioner?
- View only How do I add someone with View only access?
- Third party access How do I give someone Third party access?

B. What permissions they should have:
- Add and remove users and change permissions
- Access accounts
- Import companies
- Remove companies
- Complete chargeable Companies House filings
- Edit details of company, officers and shareholders

- All

4. Once you have finished, clicking 'Save' will send an email to the new user. It will contain a weblink to accept the invitation to become a user.
Note: Before they can access the account they will be required to choose a password. They will have 14 days to do this.
5. Until the new user accepts your invitation their status will show as 'Pending'. Once they accept the invitation their status will change to 'Active'. If the person is removed as a user their status will show as 'Former'.
Note: If you need to resend the invitation you can do this by clicking on the pencil opposite their name and clicking on the "Resend invitation" option.
Note: Each user must have a unique email address on the Inform Direct system. If you try to enter a user's email address and there is an error, this is because that user is already registered on the system. You will need to use a different email address to add that user to your account.
