Where is the Web Authentication Code Stored by Inform Direct? Print

Inform Direct securely stores the Companies House web Authentication code for each company.

For security reasons the 6 digit Authentication Code is encrypted. To see the code follow these steps.

Note: The ability to view the authentication code is determined by the access granted to a user. Administrators will be able to view the full code, there is a setting that also allows managers & practitioners to view the full code too. See Overview of user management

1. Go to the Company tab.

2. Click on the blue Filing Details tab (located on the left hand side of the screen).

3. Click on Show

Note: If the Authentication Code has been changed then you will need to update Inform Direct with the new Authentication Code. Until you do this Inform Direct will not be able to communicate with Companies House in respect of the company. i.e submissions will fail and no updates will be received. How do I add a new Authentication Code?
