If your dashboard is showing 'Pending’ under 'Recent Activity' it means that a submission has been received by Companies House and is simply waiting for them to review and process it.

Companies House operate a queuing system where each submission is processed in turn.

The Companies House SLA for submissions is 2 working days, we honour this and allow the 2 working day period before contacting Companies House to chase a submission. Please allow the 2 day time-frame before contacting us regarding a pending query.

Note: You cannot 'cancel' a pending transaction. Once this has been submitted, we are unable to retract this Can I cancel my confirmation statement after filing?

Normally you will see the ‘Pending’ message turn to ‘Completed' quite quickly. Most submissions come back within an hour of being sent.

Occasionally it can take longer - sometimes due to busy periods at Companies House but also if Companies House pull out the application for manual checking.

Once a submission is pending for 180 minutes, a note will appear next to the action as shown below. It includes the time and date submitted, this will help with identifying whether it has exceeded the 2 working day time-frame.

Note: We will not chase Companies House until it it has exceeded the 2 working day time-frame they allow for submissions.

Note: If you submit two or more transactions at about the same time you may find one is processed very quickly and the other takes longer. This is not unusual and should not be a cause for concern.

If the transaction fails for any reason you will see the ‘Pending’ message turn to a red 'Rejected'. See How do I Tell why my Companies House Filing was Rejected?

Once the submission has been accepted by Companies House you will see the green 'Completed' message in your Recent Activity on the Dashboard. See What Confirmation is There That a Submission to Companies House Has Been Successful?

Note: Once you see the pending message, Inform Direct can no longer cancel or change the submission since it is already in Companies House's hands. Please wait to see the outcome from Companies House before contacting Inform Direct since there is nothing we can do to affect their processes.
