The Confirmation Date is the date at which Companies House require all the information covered by the Confirmation Statement to be confirmed. It is comparable to the 'made up to date' which applied to Annual Returns.
All the information over the Confirmation period for the company must be accurate as at the Confirmation Date. It will be the earlier of:
- Today's date if you file a confirmation statement today; or
- 365 days after the last confirmation date (or 365 days after incorporation if no confirmation statement yet filed).
Can I Change the Confirmation Date?
When you start the confirmation statement wizard Inform Direct will calculate the confirmation date for you at Step 1 of the process.

Why Might I File a Confirmation Statement Early?
Note: It is perfectly permissible to submit a confirmation statement early (or more often than once a year) although you cannot submit more than one confirmation statement per day. If you do file a confirmation statement early this resets the next confirmation date.
