It can be helpful to keep a note on a company for you or your colleagues to view in future.
The Dashboard tab within Inform Direct allows for notes to be recorded, these do not report outside of the software so can be used to record information or prompts.
Once added, the note can be viewed by any user with access to that company.
Note: This function is only available to subscription accounts on Inform Direct.
The Notes section appears below the Alerts & Notifications area on the Dashboard as shown below.
Clicking Add new note opens the below screen.
This has 3 fields, all of which are visible on the dashboard if entered:
- Note summary
- More detail (Optional)
- Due date (Optional)
Selecting Add note will save the information to the dashboard tab.
Note: It is also possible to add small, concise notes to your portfolio view. See Can I add additional notes to my Portfolio view?
The right hand side of the notes section has Actions buttons.
The blue arrow allows you to view the note, while the yellow pencil offers shortcuts to Edit note, Mark as complete or Delete note.
Once marked as completed it will hide the note so only outstanding ones remain. There is a Show completed notes button to view historic notes as shown below.
A report of notes can be generated, this allows you to extract all notes required in a spreadsheet. Please see How Do I Generate Reports on Inform Direct?
