Your new company has been accepted by Companies House - great! This guide will deal with some of the common questions following incorporation.

When will my incorporation request be accepted?

Where can I find my incorporation certificate and other documents?

Following your incorporation being accepted by Companies House, there are 2 ways to obtain your new company documents such as the incorporation certificate, memorandum and first board minutes. Firstly, these will be emailed to whichever address was supplied at the delivery details step of the formation wizard.

In addition to this, the documents will also become available in your document library

Note: Share certificates are not included in the email, however can be located in the document library.

How can I see the company registers?

To make things easy for you, we have completed the statutory registers for the company, these can be accessed at anytime by clicking the blue 'View Company Registers' button.

When will I receive my printed incorporation documents and/or bound company registers that were included as part of my incorporation package?

We will aim to post these within 1 working day of Companies House accepting the incorporation. They are sent Royal Mail first class to the address supplied.

Note: There may be certain circumstances where we are delayed in posting these documents, i.e. during COVID-19 when the government guidance was to work from home. In this instance we were returning to the office fortnightly to post items. Do get in touch if you are experiencing exceptional delays on receipt.

How do I get my UTR (unique taxpayer reference) number?

Once the formation has been accepted by Companies House, they will notify HMRC so there's usually no need to contact HMRC yourself. Within a few weeks, HMRC should write to the company's Registered Office address confirming the UTR number and letting you know what the company needs to do next.
