It is easy to form a new company using Inform Direct.

1) Click on the 'Form New Company' button which is on the navigation bar at the top of your screen.

Note: At the end of the wizard all the information required by Companies House including the applicable Registry Fee will be sent to them electronically. You will be able to print a summary before sending it to Companies House.

2) Enter the proposed name of the new company and select which company type you want to create. Then click, 'Continue.'

How can I check whether a proposed company name is available?

Note: If you select 'Limited liability partnership (LLP)', you will be given the option to say if the company is exempt from using Limited in their name.

3) Inform Direct will now check whether the proposed company name is available. All being well, it will be and you can progress to step 4 to select your package.

Where possible, Inform Direct will also identify whether the proposed company name includes any words which may require supporting documentation. Can I use a 'sensitive' or 'restricted' name?

Note: If the name is not available you can check alternatives by clicking 'Show similar company names.

4) Next, you need to choose which formation package you would like. There is a list of what each package includes when you select them. Once you have chosen the package you want, select 'Continue.'

5) You can now proceed with entering the remaining details relating to your company. Continue our formation walk through through this link: The formation wizard
