If you have sensitive documents that you wish to regulate access to then Inform Direct can accomodate this if you are a subscriber. This feature is not available to PAYG users. 


There are 3 levels of access:

  • Normal
  • Modified
  • Restricted


You are able to set the access rights:

  • When you add a Document to the Document Library using the 'Add File' feature; or
  • For Documents already in the Document Library you select the 'Edit file permissions' option from the yellow pencil:



The access levels are defined further below. 


Normal

 This is the default setting. The access any person has to Documents will be linked to the users rights.

       

Modified

This setting is at the document level. The access a particular User Type has to the document can be changed. Simply click the desired Radio Buttons.


Note: An Administrator will still be able to view, manage and remove documents


Restricted

This setting is also at the document level. The only person who can apply the Restricted access control is the person who added the Document to the Document Library. Access to the particular document is then just for the person who applied the Restricted access control.


Note: If a User is removed and they had saved Documents to the Document Library with Restricted access then those Documents will be deleted.
