It can be helpful to record your own personalised fields for shareholders or members. Once added, these can be displayed within Inform Direct.
To create a person custom field please see our guide How Do I Add New Custom Fields? Custom fields can be populated by editing the personal details of a shareholder or member.
Once generated, each user on your Inform Direct account can choose whether to include this person custom field on the shareholder/member tab of the company.
1. To begin, click on Your Profile at the top of the page. On the left-hand side of Your Profile there will be button for Shareholders screen settings.
You are then able to select Add shareholder screen settings on the right of the page.
2. This will display the current fields shown for a shareholder, all which are locked apart from Status which can be un-ticked if preferred.
Below the default fields will be optional pre-existing fields and any custom person fields which you have created.
3. Ticking the box next to the custom fields which you wish to display on the Shareholder/member tab adds them after the Shareholder/member name. An example is shown below.
You will also need to give the setting a name, this is to differentiate it from other settings you have saved.
4. After selecting Save new settings you will be returned to the Shareholder screen settings page. Here, your newly created settings will show.
Please note that the settings are not automatically applied. You must select the yellow pencil and 'Use for shareholders screen'.
5. Once set to Use for shareholders screen it will show your custom columns on the Shareholders tab.
The column heading will be the name of the field created and next to each shareholder will be the information populated.
Your person custom fields can also be displayed on reports generated via Inform Direct. For further details see our reporting guide.
