The production and appearance of the approval document for confirmation statements can be adjusted to suit your needs.
Ordinarily, Inform Direct takes you through a short, easy to follow process to file a confirmation statement which includes options for Express completion and to generate an Approval document.
The option to edit confirmation statement settings appears under the Account tab and allows you to further tailor what appears on the approval documents.
You can also choose to auto-generate approval documents, for further details see How to Auto-create confirmation statement approval documents
Within the Confirmation statement settings you will see the below areas, on the right-hand side of the screen is an Edit confirmation settings button.
Editing the confirmation settings allows you to adjust the below details in relation to the content of the approval document generated by Inform Direct.
The fields are:
Mask residential addresses:
Selecting 'Yes' will mask all residential addresses in the confirmation statement summary document by displaying just the first word of the building name/number, the last 3 characters of the postcode and the country.
Mask dates of birth (day):
Selecting 'Yes' will mask the day part of all dates of birth in the confirmation statement summary document. e.g. **/05/1973
Include the made up to date:
The default setting is that all confirmation statement approval documents generated by Inform Direct will include the made up to date. Some may prefer for this not to appear, particularly if generating the approval before the end of the confirmation period.
There is a drop-down box select your preference of:
- Always - This will always include the 'Made up to date' in the confirmation statement summary document.
- If after the made up to date - This will include the 'Made up to date' in the confirmation statement summary document when the summary is create on or after the 'Next confirmation statement made up to date' expected by Companies House
- Never - This will never include the 'Made up to date' in the confirmation statement summary document
