For larger firms with multiple users we would encourage the use of a group distribution email e.g. cosec@xxxxx.co.uk or team@@xxxxx.co.uk

Note: Unless the group distribution email address already exists then you will need to set this up with your IT department.

So cosec@xxxxx.co.uk will actually be sent to:

Susan@xxxxx.co.uk

Peter@xxxxx.co.uk; and

James@xxxxx.co.uk

Of course names can be added/removed from your group distribution email address as applicable.  However this will be for your firm's IT department to administer.

The benefit of having a group distribution email address is that if there is ever an issue with a transaction or formation then Inform Direct can communicate with cosec@xxxxx.co.uk which in turn will be sent to all the relevant parties within your firm.  This removes the danger of an alert/message being sent to just one person who is not picking up their emails if they are away etc.

We suggest you make the group distribution email the primary user i.e  the email for the user which was created when the account was first set up.

See How do I change the Primary user?

If you need a hand setting up a group distribution email address please let us know and we shall be pleased to assist.
