The answer is yes, if the company meets either the following conditions:

  • You started the dissolved process on inform Direct but have not submitted the filing; or

  • The company is within the two month window from when the DS01 was filed.

Often , although the form DS01 will have been created using Inform Direct it may never have been sent to Companies House.  Accordingly Companies House will not have started the process to dissolve the company and so the process is just to update the record on Inform Direct and nothing needs to be sent to Companies House.

Whether you are just updating Inform Direct or you need to reverse/stop the process started at Companies House the process is the same:

1. Click the pencil on the company under the "Your dissolved companies"  this will present you with a "Withdraw dissolution" option.  See below.

2. On clicking the "Withdraw dissolution" option you will start the withdraw company dissolution wizard. See below.  Here you will confirm that you wish to continue with the process.

3. The next step asks if you wish to also create a covering letter to accompany the the withdrawal of the dissolution.

4. Once the documents have been created you can choose to open them straight away or later. They will be saved in your document library either way.

You will only need to print the documents and send them to Companies House if you had previously sent Companies House the form DS01.  If the form DS01 had never been sent to Companies House you do not need to send them form DS02.

5. When Companies House have received the DS02, Inform Direct will then be updated to reflect the filing.

You will see it appear back under "Your current companies" like the below.
