There is a section on the confirmation statement that allows a company to inform Companies House if they are trading on a regulated market. This company then has DTR5 status.

Note: A company trading on the regulated market must tick this box in the confirmation statement.

If your company is not trading on a regulated market then Companies House was probably notified incorrectly in the past. You can check to see if this was the case, by following the steps below:

1. Go to Companies House website.

2. Search for your company and view previous confirmation statements. If the DTR5 notification was incorrectly selected in the past, you will see a section of text under 'Full details of shareholder', which says:

3. You will need to amend this erroneous filing at Companies House by sending a replacement CS01 form along with the form RP04. These will need to be filed on paper directly to Companies House.

The link for the RP04 form is here - RP04 form Companies House also please see How Do I Second File at Companies House Using the RP04 Form? for help.

4. Once this has been updated at Companies House, Inform Direct will automatically sync the information through and you will be able file your confirmation statement.

Note: Paper filing at Companies House is a lengthier process. If your confirmation statement deadline is soon, contact Companies House directly and explain the situation as soon as possible.
