When you appoint a new user as a Manager there are 6 permissions that you can tailor.

1. Add and remove users and change user permissions.

The dropdown for this setting gives you 3 options: No, Restricted and Unrestricted.

  • No is the default choice. This would mean the Manager cannot add new users, remove existing users or change other user rights.
  • If Restricted is selected the Manager will only be able to add or remove users for companies that they also have access to. This setting is probably only appropriate if a very large number of companies are being managed and a particular Manager has responsibility for a very defined set of companies.
  • Lastly there is the Unrestricted option. A Manager with Unrestricted rights can invite new users, remove existing users or change other users' rights without limitation. These are the same rights that an administrator would have.

2. Access accounts area

The dropdown for this setting for a Manager gives you just 2 options: Yes and View only.

  • The default choice is Yes. This would mean the Manager has full access to the Account area and can make changes to the account and card details.

What is my Account area?

  • A Manager with View only rights can view the Account area but not make any changes.

3. Import companies

The dropdown for this setting for a Manager gives you just 2 options: Yes and No.

  • The default choice is Yes. This would mean the Manager can import additional companies to the account.
  • If the setting is changed to No then the Manager will not be able to import additional companies.

4. Remove companies

The dropdown for this setting for a Manager gives you just 2 options: Yes and No.

  • The default choice is Yes. This would mean the Manager can remove companies from the account.
  • If the setting is changed to No then the Manager will not be able to remove companies from the account.

Finally,

You can, if you wish, make a Manager the Principal contact. Simply click the box and then press 'Continue'.
