The action required to clear an unreconciled share class alert depends on what has caused it to occur.
If you want to know why you have an unreconciled share classes alert please see Why have I got an unreconciled share alert?
Generally it is that a filing has been made outside of Inform Direct that will now need to be replicated in the software. Checking the Companies House filing history should reveal the action which has been completed.
Whatever has caused the unreconciled alert Inform Direct allows you to replicate what has happened and update the statutory books etc. but without causing a second filing to be made to Companies House.
The Common Reason
The most common reason for seeing an unreconciled share alert that there has been an allotment of an existing share class (SH01) since the last confirmation statement (CS01) or since the company was formed (IN01). Happily this is also the most simple to resolve, please see our guide How do I allot shares to reconcile a share class?
The Other Circumstances it can happen
- If there has been a share split see: How do I split shares to reconcile a share class?
- If there has been a reclassification of shares into different share classes outside see: How do I convert shares into another share class?
- If there has been a purchase and cancellation of shares see: How do I purchase and cancel shares?
- If there has been a share capital reduction see Overview of SH19
- If the same share class is showing twice under slightly differing names, see: How to tidy up the share classes which appear twice
Note: Sometimes, you may see a share class showing £0.00 nominal value. For this, please see: Why is there an old share class showing on Inform Direct?
