Every company must have a Registered Office within the U.K.
A registered office address is the official address of a company registered with Companies House.
The registered office must be situated in the relevant country within the UK. This can be selected from the drop-down box at the top of the page.
Whenever you form a new company you must provide details of the Registered Office. This is required as part of Step 1 of our formation wizard.
Take care when choosing the Situation of registered office. There is a dropdown list of 4 options:
If you select England & Wales then the Registered Office address must be in England or Wales.
Note: If the Registered Office address does not correspond with the Situation of registered office the application to form the company will fail.
What if I wish to protect my address?
If you wish, you can elect to use one of our partner's prestigious registered office addresses. There are 3 London addresses to choose from, an Ipswich address and one in Edinburgh for Scottish companies.
Note: Once you complete your incorporation and if we request an address service for you, you will still need to show ID documents to our partner's before the address service can commence. Further instructions will be sent directly from our partners once they receive the request.
Simply select the option and enter an address for all your company's official mail from Companies House and HMRC to be sent to.
