You are able to create custom fields on Inform Direct, these can be used to store, display and report information personalised to your account. 

 

Custom fields can be created to store information which is not an existing field on Inform Direct, these are available as Company custom fields and Person custom fields.


Note: The option to add custom fields is only available to subscribers of the software. What are the benefits of subscribing to Inform Direct?



1. Under the Account tab you can select the option to Manage custom fields.




2. You will then be presented with details of any existing custom fields. If this is the first custom field to be created, it will appear with the message below.




3. By selecting Add custom field you will be able to add the Field description and select the Field Type.


The field types available are:


Company custom fields:

These will show under the Company tab for each company in Update Company admin/diary dates. They are fields which apply to the company as a whole, such as client reference numbers. This could be a date field or text field.


Person custom fields:

These apply to individuals. If you wish to record a personal reference number or note next to an individual this will create a field in their personal details area. 


 

This will create the record in the custom fields section, which you can come back to if amendments need to be made.  

  

   

4. The custom fields will immediately show on Inform Direct once created, they can be populated by any user with edit access to that company.


Please see below where to access and populate each type of custom field:


Company text fields:

This will be shown under the Company tab in Update company admin.

 



Company date fields:

This will be shown under the Company tab in Update diary dates.

 


Person text fields:

These will be accessible via the Shareholders tab by selecting the yellow pencil next to a shareholder and edit personal details.
