'Change settings' is one of the options under Your Profile

1. Go to Your Profile and select Change settings.




2. From here you can amend your current settings detailed below



There are 3 sections.

  • Allow express confirmation statement
  • Hide help text
  • Amend the colour coding upcoming filing dates


By clicking on the box opposite the option you can change either of them from 'Yes' to 'No' or vice versa. Below is a more detailed explanation of each option.


Allow express confirmation statement

If you switch Allow express confirmation statement to 'Yes' you will be presented with an optional step at the start of the confirmation statement wizard.



It will enable you jump to the approvals step, this so you can to produce a PDF of all the information that will need to checked before the confirmation statement is sent to Companies House when a confirmation statement is due.


Note: If you are acting for a client you can then send this to them and ask that they confirm that all the information is correct before you submit the actual companies house on their behalf.


Once this feature is turned on, you are not obliged to use it every time.


You can complete a confirmation statement using our step by step wizard (recommended) or the express complete option (ideal if you want to create the document quickly for your client to check).


Note: This setting is unique to each user. So if there are 7 different users with access to your Portfolio, each of them will have to change their setting to the preferred status.


Hide help text

Each flow or feature in Inform Direct has a pop up help for each section. Once you are familiar with how Inform Direct works, you may choose to switch the help feature off.


For example, if you are appointing a director, you will be asked whether they have applied to keep their Residential Address private from credit reference agencies. The answer defaults to 'No.' The help text - reproduced below - explains what would be required to answer this question Yes.
