Director & PSC checks will be a requirement from 18 November 2025 as part of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA). Inform Direct provides accountants a process to check clients via Bright Checks.
The facility to complete checks for clients is limited to those which are Authorised corporate service providers (ACSPs). Your ACSP number can be recorded under the Account tab.
When a check is sent, an icon will appear next to the director/PSC. Initially it will show as below to indicate Identity check pending.
Completion of the check by the individual will update the icon to show the overall result. An email will also be sent as notification that it has been completed.

Additional information about the check outcome is available to review. This could help with identifying why a check might have failed, therefore helping to ensure that the same failure reason does not happen again.
You can access the PDF identity document via the following methods:
1. A notification is also raised on the company dashboard to confirm that the check has passed/failed. The blue arrow will open a PDF summary of the check.
2. The passed/failed check icon shown above will appear next to the director/PSC. Selecting the yellow pencil next to their name will allow you to download identity document.
