Populated minutes can be generated for company accounts on Inform Direct, even if the accounts are not being filed via the software.



The ‘Produce board minutes to approve accounts’ flow can be accessed by clicking on the ‘Prepare & file accounts’ button on the company dashboard, and selecting the new radio button option on the ‘Company accounts filing options’ screen (outlined in red on the screenshot below):




There’s just one simple step to the process, and this allows you to enter the following details: 

  • Balance sheet date of the accounts to be approved.

  • Date of the board meeting.

  • Name of the director/s that will be signing to authorise the company accounts.


 


If you do not know the date of the board meeting or the name/s of the director/s signing the accounts, you can leave these manual entry fields empty, and the board minutes will then be populated with the text ‘[To be advised]’.

 

The board minutes (and written directors’ resolution if selected) will be produced as an editable Word document and saved automatically to your Document Library.

 

Once created, the company accounts approval minutes will also be available for inclusion in a combined board minutes document via the existing ‘Build board minutes’ process.

 

As with all our template documents, the new produce prepopulated board minutes to approve company accounts feature will not be available to Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs).
