When a company is imported into Inform Direct, Companies House provide details of each current shareholder.
It is rare that a corporate shareholder is incorrectly identified as an individual by Companies House. Inform Direct has a tool to help for when these situations do arise.
Imported corporate shareholdings usually appear in block capitals.
This means that if a corporate record appears with lower case characters at import it could indicate they they have incorrectly been identified as an individual.
Selecting the blue arrow next to the record will confirm it is showing as an individual as the fields which appear will be personal information fields rather than Company registration number, service address and other corporate details.
On the right-hand side of the page there will be a Convert to corporate button, this will allow you to adjust the shareholder from an individual record to a corporate.
This will bring up the Conversion details for you to review.
Clicking Convert to corporate will complete the process and return you to the shareholders page.
