When allotting shares to a number of shareholders, Inform Direct has a tool to include them all on one SH01 submission to Companies House.

The multiple allotment process can be found under the Share Classes tab via Allot new shares.

1. The first step of the Allotment process will allow you to select if it is to multiple shareholders, see below.

It is important to note that to use the multiple allotment function the below must apply:

  • All shares are being allotted to the same class.
  • All allotted on the same date.
  • The amount paid per share is the same for all shareholders.
  • The consideration is in cash.

2. The allotment details are added next, these include the date, share class amounts paid or unpaid.

3. The first of the multiple shareholders can then be added, initially confirming whether it is an individual, joint or corporate shareholder, then searching by name to locate an existing or create a new shareholder.

See How do I select an Existing Person?

4. Once you have confirmed the details of the shareholder it will show the screen below:

This allows you to enter the number of shares being allotted to that particular shareholder

The amount paid will calculate automatically based on the number of shares added and the amount paid per share that was entered at step 2.

5. Below the shareholder just added will be two buttons: Add Shareholder and Complete.

Add shareholder will allow you to enter the next of the shareholders in the allotment. This will take you to the screen shown in Step 3 of this guide, where they can be selected.

Complete should be used when the shares have been allotted to all of the shareholders in the multiple allotment. It will finish the process, allowing you to submit the SH01 to Companies House for the total number of shares being allotted.
