When share options are granted a certificate may be required for the option holder
During the process to grant new share options it will ask if an option certificate is required, for details of the process please see How Do I Grant New Share Options?
Alternatively the option certificate can be created at any time under the Shareholders tab in Maintain share certificates area.
1. The certificate number and issue date can be edited at the first step of the creation process when the certificates are generated during the grant new share options process.
If option certificates are generated from the maintain share certificates area then you will need to select the share option scheme, share option holder and relevant option as well as being able to edit the certificate number and issue date.
2. There are the same 9 different designs which can be selected for the option certificates as for share certificates, previews are available of each.
3. The created certificate will be logged in the Maintain share certificates area and will be accessible through your Document Library too.
It will be clearly labelled as an option certificate to distinguish it from the share certificates, there is also a tick box at the top of the screen to allow you to decide if to include or not the option certificates.
