1. Enter the Date of creation of the charge.
You must register a mortgage or charge within 21 days after it has been executed. If it is has not been recorded within this time frame, you will need to acquire a court order to acquire an extension and then you will have to file in a paper format.
2. The Name of the chargee(s).
Note: There is no limit to the amount names included here, however Companies House will only show the first four.
3. Enter the Type of the charge. e.g. ‘Mortgage’; ‘Debenture’; ‘Security over shares agreement’; ‘Legal charge’ or ‘Assignment by way of security’.
4. Enter a brief description of the charge.
Note: If the charge does not cover any specified assets you can enter 'None'.
5. Click the green 'Continue' button.
