Inform Direct makes it very easy to cancel shares.

1. To get started go to the Share Classes tab and select the blue Share reorganisation button.


Note: If the shares to be cancelled are already owned in Treasury, click on the Cancel shares option.  If the shares are currently owned by someone other than the company itself, choose the Purchase of own shares option.


2. Clicking 'Next' will start the appropriate Inform Direct wizard. Enter the correct details.



3. Enter the amount of shares to be cancelled.


4. If the company is PLC select if section 662 applies.


Limited by shares companies will be able to create these documents;

  • Board minutes resolving to authorise a share cancellation
  • Written resolution to authorise a share cancellation


Inform Direct will also create SH05 or SH07 forms.
