Inform Direct will identify and merge commonly used addresses within a company, we will ensure that the addresses are consistently recorded and that they contain all of the required fields.
Underneath the merged addresses with blue backgrounds will be a light brown box giving you the opportunity, if required, to edit each line of the combined address. In the below example the country is missing from the address record and it will need to be added to proceed.
Note: If the address is completely incorrect then proceed to import the company and change the address after import. This part of the process is designed to rectify small inconsistencies with addresses and is not for changing addresses if they have not been updated How do I edit a Director or Secretary's Service address?
If you are happy with the suggestion made by Inform Direct for any particular line you need do nothing more.
If something needs changing then clicking on the blue arrow you will suggest possible options. If none of the suggestions are correct then you can manually enter the required information.
Note: You can merge further addresses with one that has already been merged. You do this by clicking on the yellow chain link icon marked 'Merge with another address'
If you started to merge two addresses and you decide they should not be merged click on the red 'Separate' icon.
