It is always best practice to have a full address recorded, our import process helps to ensure that the addresses all have the required fields. 



When corresponding with Companies House electronically it is a requirement that these two elements are separately identified.


If information for either the Building Name/Number or Address 1 is missing details then it will need to be added.


The below examples cover typical scenarios.


1. No Address 1 showing

In this example the Building Name/Number should just be '6'. You will then need to move 'Church Road' to Address 1. You can use cut and paste to do this.


2. No Building Name/Number showing

In this example the Building Name/Number will be 'The Old Forge'. You can cut and paste this from Address 1. You will then need to move 'Church Lane' from Address 2 to Address 1. Again you can cut and paste this.


3. The Building Name/ Number and Address 1 details appear together

 

Sometimes the Building Name/Number and the details required for Address 1 will be shown together.  In the below example they both appear as the entry at Address 1.


To remedy this simply cut and paste the Building Name/Number leaving the rest of the address. So you would cut and paste 'The Old Forge' to Building Name/Number.  This will leave 'Church Lane' as Address 1. 


Note: You must remember to clear the space in front of 'Church'.
