Sometimes a 'Check Alert' sign like the one below will show against one or more companies on the portfolio screen.

You will see colour coded alerts appear on your portfolio. The colour of the alert indicates the urgency of the matter, please see the reasons for them and their duration on the portfolio below:

Red – Urgent These will remain until they are resolved

  • The company Authentication Code is invalid
  • Accounts Submission Overdue
  • The shares in the company are unreconciled
  • Dissolution Withdrawal Delayed
  • Share option grant EMI scheme reminder

Amber – Medium – These will show for 30 days

  • Companies House Response Rejection
  • Shares To Attribute
  • Shares With Unpaid Amounts
  • Company accounts approved but not filed
  • Dissolution Delayed
  • Confirmation Statement Overdue
  • Accounts submission is due in the next month
  • Confirmation Statement is due in the next month

Green – Low – These will appear for 7 days

  • Welcome message for the first company which you add
  • Companies House Response to confirm that a filing was successful

What this means is that on the dashboard for the underlying company there is one or more Alerts and Notifications. To see what the Check Alert refers to click on the blue arrow opposite the company.

This will take you to the Dashboard of the relevant company where you will see the details of all the relevant alerts.  They will often be confirmation that an action has been processed or reminders that an important date is approaching.

If you are satisfied that the alert does not require (further) action you can simply clear it by clicking on the red clear sign.

This will remove that particular message from the Alerts and Notifications section.

Note: A permanent record will be kept for any actions e.g. allotting shares in the Recent Activity table which is just underneath the Alerts and Notifications table.

Once you have cleared all the Alerts and Notifications the Check Alert triangle will no longer show on your portfolio screen.

Note: Inform Direct will automatically remove the yellow triangle from a Portfolio screen if all the alerts for the particular company are at least 30 days old even if they have not been cleared.
